DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIAN CONVENTION BUREAU
The Donostia-San Sebastián Convention Bureau is a joint enterprise established by the San Sebastián City Council, the County Council of Gipuzkoa, and the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Navigation of Gipuzcoa, together with enterprises from the service sector.
AIM
To promote both the city and the province of Gipuzkoa as a place for conferences, conventions and incentive travels.
ROLE
- To organize promotional events to publicize the city's facilities as a conference centre both in the domestic and the international markets.
- To provide a data bank on conferences already scheduled in San Sebastián and Gipuzkoa.
- To provide unbiassed information, free of charge, for conference organizers about infraestructure and services.
- To give the public and private sectors assistance in coordinating the planning and development of events in San Sebastián and Gipuzkoa.
- To coordinate inspections visits to the city for professional organizers.
HEADQUARTERS
Since August 1989, the Donostia-San Sebastián Convention Bureau has had its headquarters in the building of the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, buit in the neoplateresque style, and opened in 1912.
