The File Room is an open system. Several months of research into cultural censorship (prior to the opening of The File Room in May 1994) illustrates the global and historical ubiquity of these actions through a sampling of 400 initial cases. It is you, the participant, who will now continue the dialogue on censorship by offering for worldwide exposure censorious actions which have affected you, your collegues, others in you community or on other continents.
Much thought has gone into the structure of information in the File Room tp make it easy to browse, and this form reflects these simple organizing principles. As we want to avoid the role of editor (censor?) the questions correspond to the appearance of a case in the archive, so please try to fill in each field.
If you have suggestions for how to improve the structure of The File Room, please submit these in the Comments section.
